RIDLEY COLLEGE is pleased to announce that it has been authorized as an International Baccalaureate World School, Diploma Programme commencing September 2012. This announcement follows a rigorous accreditation process and means that all students in Grades 11 and 12 will have the opportunity to complete the prestigious IB diploma.

In September 2012 Ridley will offer courses enabling students to earn both the International Baccalaureate Diploma and the Ontario Secondary School Diploma. Most universities in Canada will grant first year equivalency credits for three of the six courses students undertake for the IB diploma. Over 40 students from Ridley’s current Grade 10 class have enrolled in the IB Diploma Programme.

“The International Baccalaureate (IB) is the fastest growing school curriculum and exam system in the world. It is a truly international pre-university diploma. The addition of the IB enhances Ridley College’s opportunities in promoting rigour, resourcefulness and respect. It sets the tone for young people to become effective, successful and honourable global citizens. It will enable Ridleians to fulfill the global reach of being a world prep school.”
