This month, Shawnigan hosted the 52nd annual Shawnigan Lake Regatta. With beautiful weather, and very little wind, the focus was where it should be – on the racing. All Shawnigan crews raced extremely hard and represented the School well throughout the weekend. Notable results this weekend were:

* Jr A Men's 4+ (Tala B., Jordan J., Greg P., Olivier C., Drew W.)
* Jr B Women's 8+ (Maia T., Danielle S., Shanti T., Sierra F., Nicole F., Elisabeth Y., Georgia S., Grace S., Sophie M.)

2nd Place
* Jr A Women's 4+ (Olivia C., Kennedy W., Hailey H., Karimah N., Marika P.)
* Jr A Women's 8+ (Olivia C., Kate M., Julie M., Kennedy W., Hailey H., Karimah N., Dani B., Shaughne S., Rachel W.)
* Jr A Lightweight Men's 1x (Jordan J.)

Other notable performances have to include the Jr B Women's 4+ (Olivia C., Shanti T., Sierra F., Danielle S., Leah B.) who raced as exhibition and won their final by over 16 seconds. The Jr B Boy's 8+ hard work is starting to pay off, as they have gained 14 seconds on Brentwood since their last race just two weeks ago. Crews now are narrowing their focus and increasing the intensity of their workouts as they prepare for the National Championships in St. Catharines, Ontario, beginning June 1st.
